About Me

We don’t have to be defined by the things that happen to us, but by how we choose to respond to them. This guiding principle has led me down a dual path: pursuing a career in finance while simultaneously returning to university to deepen my understanding of psychology.
In my mid-20s, while working in Investor Relations at a fund, I made the decision to return to academia and undertake a Master’s in Neuroscience & Psychology of Mental Health at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience, King’s College London. This wasn’t a move for career advancement but rather a reflection of a genuine desire to move beyond self-study and learn directly from leaders in the field.
Halfway through the programme, at age 27, I faced health complications when doctors began investigating a potential brain tumour. While deeply painful, that experience shifted my academic focus. I pivoted towards psychoneuroimmunology (PNI) — the interdisciplinary study of how psychological processes (such as stress, behaviour, and emotion), the nervous system, and the immune system interact, particularly in brain health and disease. I became especially interested in emotional resilience, with my dissertation focusing on individuals living with treatment-resistant depression.
At the same time, during the start of Covid, I co-founded First Point Partners, a private equity search boutique specialising in placing talent into funds across Europe. There, I continue to work closely with individuals to help them find environments where they can truly excel.
Later, I completed a second Master’s in Psychology at Birkbeck, University of London exploring how our relational behaviours, particularly the ways we connect with others and process our emotions, influence mental and physical health outcomes in relation to chronic inflammation and autoimmune disease. This work enables me to understand not only the cognitive and emotional patterns that shape people’s choices, but also the immunological impact of stress and connection.
Together, these experiences have shaped both my perspective and my practice. Above all, I remain deeply passionate about people’s remarkable ability to adapt, grow and recalibrate their lives at any given moment in time.
